A New Apartment at The Pregerson Family Center

While most of the apartments at The Pregerson Family Center have two-four bedrooms, a family who has been living without a permanent address for some time is happy to accept a one-bedroom apartment as their new home. 
 
Joining Lin in creating this welcoming space for a mom, dad & their 5 y.o. daughter were Jane Smith, Erin Eger & Robin Peterson. Pat Lester pulled some wonderful things for this little family and Frankie deFusco really went all out on the perishable shop. Jane saw this family in the office, waiting for their apartment to be readied for them and she said they were so joyous at finally finding a place to call home. Karen Young met us at the apartments with some fabulous art supplies for this and future set-ups and a terrific lamp which looks great in the living room. She said there were some great sales at Michael’s.

Topanga Women's Circle 2025 Challenge Grant

This year, the needs of homeless families is greater than ever. With significant cuts to funding for our nonprofit partners, families who have spent months living in motels, shelters, or on the streets are finally being offered housing, but they’re stepping into empty apartments. That’s where TWC comes in. We transform these bare spaces into homes filled with warmth and comfort.

Thanks to your generosity in the past, we’ve outfitted over 75 apartments this year alone. But we need your help to continue.
